Job summary

Irvine Company is seeking a Building Engineer II to support hotel operations through HVAC maintenance, electrical and plumbing repairs, and involvement in special projects. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and requires proactive problem solving and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities include electrical maintenance across the building, lamp maintenance, wiring for renovations, and ensuring prompt responses to guest maintenance requests.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in hotel room calls with electrical systems.
• 4+ years experience in ice machine repair.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of 120, 277 and 24 volt electrical systems.
• Desire to learn and take ownership of responsibilities
• Good communication and follow-up skills
• Demonstrate a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Provide service and repairs per Technical Skills List for electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC, refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating problems.
• Provide electric repair and maintenance to motors, starters, breakers and associated equipment throughout the building.
• Maintain and replace lamps and wiring, install electrical wiring for renovations and exhibits.
• Provide preventative maintenance, maintain logs, and respond to guest complaints related to maintenance in rooms or public areas.
