Job summary

Portland Embassy Suites - Atrium Hospitality is seeking a Breakfast Cook to prepare and cook breakfast items using standardized recipes, support breakfast setup and kitchen opening/closing, and maintain food safety standards in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

We value teamwork and flexibility, require 6 months in culinary or food service, and prefer culinary certification. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k) match, paid time off, DailyPay, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary or food service experience (6 months preferred).
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/move throughout shift.
• Positive, team-first attitude with flexibility to work mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Culinary certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast items with consistency and care using standardized recipes.
• Support breakfast setup, line prep, and kitchen opening/closing duties.
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and dishwashing stations.
• Ensure food is prepped for the following day and assist with inventory rotation.
