Job Purpose

• The Hotel Bartender at Element by Westin is responsible for providing exceptional beverage and food service to guests in a professional and courteous manner. This role involves crafting a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, preparing and cooking bar food items, ensuring a memorable experience for patrons, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, according to established recipes and guest preferences.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking drink and food orders and providing recommendations as needed.
• Ensure the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and organized, including the proper storage of all beverages and supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items, including specials and promotions, to provide accurate information to guests.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including responsible alcohol service and sanitation standards.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, following company procedures for closing out tabs and processing payments.
• Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor guest behavior and consumption to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about new products, services, and company policies.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a bartender in a hotel or high-volume bar setting.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a hospitality environment.
• Experience in crafting and serving a wide variety of cocktails and beverages.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
