Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Bartender for the Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown to deliver memorable hospitality from the initial greeting to the guest's departure. You will craft beverages with precision, guide guests through the menu, and ensure a smooth, engaging experience in a fast-paced bar environment.

Requires a minimum of 2 years' bartending experience, excellent communication skills, and solid knowledge of mixology.

The Bartender is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable connections and engaging service from the initial greeting to their departure. As a Bartender, it is your responsibility to seek to understand the guest’s needs while preparing perfect beverages in a timely manner. This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow and learn at a world-class property!Your role:Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar areaMaintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar dailyGuide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menuBe accurate in your order taking, confirming all special requestsBe the master of the bar, understanding the details to enhance the conversationWork collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staffAssist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happyFinalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentationRequisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spiritsResponsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control.Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guestLocks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.What are we looking for?Minimum 2 years of bartending experience is required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong knowledge of mixology, wine and beverage service, with ability to quickly recall drink recipes and guest preferences from memory.Able to work well together with a team in a fast-paced environment.Ability to handle and count cash and process payments accurately.Knowledge of key guest service behaviors and how to create a ‘wow’ experience.Able to always maintain a clean and organized bar and restaurant area.Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation.Able to work in a busy high-pressure bar/restaurant environment, including exposure to various noise levels, alcohol, hot surfaces and large crowds.Moves liquor, equipment, carts, and tubs weighing up to 25 lbs. regularly.Moves through-out lobby bar, restaurant and kitchen areas, including extended lengths of walking and/or moving up and down stairs, for duration of shift.Able to remain in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for entire shift.Capable of frequent and repeated lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, and extending arms fully to perform essential job functions.Able to perform repetitive motions, such as shaking and mixing drinks with both hands.Compensation:$10.25-$10.25Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
