Job summary

Generation Hospitality's Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a Bartender to deliver exceptional beverage service in the bar, lounge and event spaces. You will prepare cocktails, pour wine and beer, and ensure guests enjoy a welcoming, Marriott-branded experience.

The role requires knowledge of cocktails, high-volume service, and strong customer communication. You will work evenings and weekends, maintain a clean station, and collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to support

Qualifications

Previous bartending experience preferred, hotel or high-volume background is a plus.
Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine and spirits.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Must be at least 21 years of age or as required by state law.
Valid alcohol service certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service at bar and service areas.
Engage with guests professionally, anticipate needs, and make recommendations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area before, during, and after shifts.
Process orders and payments using the POS system and follow cash handling procedures.
Ensure compliance with state alcohol laws and responsible service.
Collaborate with servers, supervisors, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to health, safety, sanitation and hygiene standards.
