Job summary

Wischermann Partners, Inc. operates the Courtyard Owatonna Downtown in Owatonna, MN and is seeking a Bartender to take orders, mix and serve drinks, and deliver food with friendly service.

You will maintain bar stock and cleanliness, handle cash, and ensure compliance with liquor laws; knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and cocktails is required; TIPS within 30 days. Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar position with a full-service hotel or restaurant.
• TIPS training certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• Previous experience with MICROS POS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders, utilizing suggestive up-selling techniques.
• Prepare drink orders for all in-room dining orders.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel specifications.
• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beer brands, and non-alcoholic selections.
• Handle cash and ensure accuracy of contracted monies; maintain a secure bank.
