Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott - Box Elder, SD is seeking an entry-level Bartender to prepare cocktails and beverages for guests, take orders, and ensure a high-quality service experience.

You will interact with patrons, suggest drink options, maintain bar cleanliness, and assist with opening/closing duties in a fast-paced setting. Must be 21+ with basic computer skills and a valid training certificate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender is required.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
• Relevant training certificate.
• Must be 21 or older.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve meals and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Deliver food accurately and efficiently.
