BBL Lenox Hotel Group LLC is seeking an experienced bartender to join our bar team at our Lenox, MA location. You will craft beverages, upsell house specials, and provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar, handling cash, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with ABC regulations while delivering a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of mixology and drink preparation.
• Experience handling cash and processing payments.
• Knowledge of state and local ABC regulations.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep bar clean and stocked; set up for shifts.
• Greet guests and promote house drinks; upsell to maximize revenue.
• Prepare beverages per standard procedures and ensure portion control.
• Monitor guests and enforce responsible alcohol service; check IDs.
• Inventory and restock bar items; report issues to management.
• Process payments and assist with food orders at the bar.
• Attend to maintenance issues and assist with events and promotions.

Reports directly to the General Manager. Job requirements include basic reading, writing, and math skills and specialized knowledge of bartending and mixing drinks. Certification as required by state or local laws. Must meet legal age requirements of state. Extensive knowledge of mixology; cash handling procedure experience; knowledge of ABC regulations for state and local offices are required. Customer service aptitude and interpersonal communication skills are a must. Physical requirements include standing, carrying 30-75 lbs, walking, lifting, reaching overhead, pushing, bending, and able to climb a ladder.Job Duties Include, but not limited to:Ensure that bar is clean and properly set up, i.e. supplies needed for upcoming shifts are available. Report any shortages to manage.Greets guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promote house drinks and utilizes up -selling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues.Prepares beverages requested by guests or servers according to standard operating procedures establishing proper portions and ingredients to control costs and provide consistent product to the guestHave complete and applied knowledge of alcoholic awareness programHave complete knowledge and understanding of all state and local ABC regulations.Monitors guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notifies management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; checks identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionableInventories return of banquet bar beverages.Insure that bar is completely clean and secure at end of shiftPromote marketing events to all guestsAccept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
