Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Barista to support the Land’s End Resort in Homer, AK. You will brew specialty coffees and teas, assist guests with orders, handle cash, and maintain clean, properly stocked service areas in a hotel kitchen setting.

This on-site role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification, six months of barista and cashier experience, and proficient English reading and writing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• ServSafe Certification or Food Handler’s Card required within 30 days.
• Six months barista experience.
• Six months cashier experience.
• Must speak/read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with general information, inquiries, and order recommendations.
• Brews a wide variety of specialty coffees, teas, hot chocolate using espresso machines.
• Properly inputs sales into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
• Counts cash drawers to prepare deposit.
• Maintains inventory stock levels in a timely manner.
• Follows cash handling policies and procedures.
• Observes and resolves quality or quantity issues.
• Cleans work areas and equipment; assists with periodic cleaning projects.
• This position is not responsible for supervising staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
