Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC is seeking a Bakery/Bread Baker for Land’s End Resort in Homer, Alaska. The role prepares and bakes a wide range of bakery items, following par sheets and standardized recipes, while ensuring quality and portion control in a busy hotel kitchen.

You will operate bakery equipment, maintain sanitation, and coordinate with supervisors on ordering and production. Must have high school diploma and at least two years of baking experience; English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED
• At least two (2) years of baking experience with knowledge of scratch baking and baking management
• Must be able to follow standardized written recipes
• Must have knowledge/training of usage of food production/baking equipment
• Alaska Food Handler's Card required within 30 days of hire
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English

Responsibilities

• Prepare food as indicated by par level sheets.
• Follows standardized recipes to meet nutritional needs.
• Present items attractively with garnish and correct portion size.
• Participate in daily quality panels and suggest improvements.
• Prepare and produce a wide variety of bakery products.
• Assist with pastry preparations including mixing, baking, and frying.
• Practice portion control on all items produced.
• Prepare bakery and specialty products such as pastries, bread, rolls, etc.
• Communicate adjustments to bakery production records.
• Coordinate with supervisor on ordering products.
• Maintain clean, labeled storeroom and rotate stock.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety procedures; keep work area clean.
• Operate dish-washing equipment as needed.
• Support team during staffing shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Other duties pertinent to department may be assigned.
