Job summary

Hireology is seeking a bartender in Lincoln, Nebraska to provide courteous service, mix drinks, and handle transactions in a fast-paced bar setting.

The role requires adherence to liquor laws, strong communication with guests, and the ability to work varied shifts. This position emphasizes safety, customer service, and teamwork within the hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to handle money and make change accurately.
• Good communication with a diverse guest base.
• Stand/walk for extended periods and move quickly as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide liquor service in compliance with laws.
• Prepare and charge for drink orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar, glasses, and utensils; stock as needed.
• Ensure alcohol is served responsibly and remove alcohol at closing if required.
• Assist Lead when in lead capacity and supervise assigned staff.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Always exercise good public and customer relations skills. Take initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

2. Dispense alcoholic beverages and controls service to ensure customers do not become intoxicated in accordance with liquor and hotel and company policies and regulations.

3. Prepare all drink orders as required and to charge for such orders as they are prepared and in the appropriate manner.

4. Comply with all liquor laws, health regulations, and company policies.

5. Perform all side duties such as cleaning, garnish preparation, miscellaneous preparation, stocking, etc.

6. Wash and sanitize all glasses and utensils.

7. Ensure all alcohol is removed from counters and tables prior to required closing time.

8. Other duties as assigned.

9. If functioning in a Lead Capacity: (a) take responsibility for assigned employees in the absence of the Supervisor, (b) assign work, and ensures proper performance of assigned employees.

3. Stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods.

4. Move fingers and hands easily and quickly to handle dishes, money, merchandise, etc. Lift and carry heavy items, such as trays.
