Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn San Jose Airport is seeking a dedicated Cook to create memorable dining experiences for guests in the bar, restaurant and room service. You will prepare drinks and food, stay flexible to guest requests, and contribute to guest satisfaction during shifts of varying times.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, assisting with inventory and coordinating with other departments to support hotel goals.

Qualifications

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You must be able to stand and move around for a shift and lift at least 25 pounds.
• You must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit.
• Applicants must have a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests in the bar, restaurant and room service attentively and efficiently.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serve wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Offer flexibility and creativity to meet guest requests.
• Complete guest orders and accurately collect payments.
• Clean and wash bar ware, utensils and bar area. Restock and prep bar items as needed.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the bar, restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
