Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Dulles Airport in Herndon, VA is seeking a bartender to provide friendly, professional beverage service in Marty’s Bar & Grille. The role requires knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and liquor laws, with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.

Starting pay is $13 per hour plus tips. The position supports a team-based F&B environment in a seaonally busy hotel and includes well-being and growth opportunities within B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification is required.
• Must have one or more years of previous bartending experience or Bartender certification.
• Must have demonstrated exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment.
• Must have the ability to speak, understand, and write English in order to meet guest’s needs and complete required paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Greets all guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Accurately and quickly takes, prepares and delivers beverage orders according to standards.
• Operates Micros POS and cash register; follows cash handling procedures.
• Dispenses appropriate levels of alcohol and ensures compliance with liquor laws.
• Performs bussing/cleaning duties and maintains bar cleanliness.
• Completes required paperwork and inventory at shift start/end.
• Adheres to health regulations and safety procedures for guest/associate incidents.
• Works as a team player and contributes to guest satisfaction.
