Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. seeks personnel to assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment aboard, performing cleaning and manual handling tasks across galley, public, crew areas and pantries.

You will follow Carnival UK policies and procedures and operate within Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines. You will be responsible for waste segregation, disposal, and supporting gangway and storing operations, while ensuring PPE is used correctly and equipment is well maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and housekeeping tasks in a hotel or ship environment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and COSHH requirements.
• Ability to handle waste disposal in line with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned hotel areas and complete tasks safely per regulations.
• Provide deep cleaning after events or as requested to meet operational standards.
• Segregate and dispose of waste following safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Support gangway and storing operations as needed.
• Maintain and use materials and equipment efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
• Monitor equipment performance and report faults immediately.
• Report areas needing attention, including fixtures and fittings.
• Undertake appropriate training and development.

Standard Role Summary:

Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment by carrying out cleaning and manual handling duties inaccordance with policies and procedures set out by Carnival UK throughout hotel, this may include but is notlimited to; galley areas, public areas, crew areas and pantries.

Primary Responsibility of the Role:

• To maintain the area within hotel you are assigned to work, ensuring all tasks are completed safelyand in accordance with all Health and Safety legislation, public health and COSHH requirements.




• To provide additional or deep cleaning after major/additional events or as requested to ensure thatthe hotel is prepared to the required standard for operational purposes.




• Carry out the segregation and disposal of waste in accordance with all current safety, company andinternational regulations.




• Provide additional support during gangway and storing operations




• To maintain and use all materials and equipment in the most efficient and cost effective manner




• Ensuring the correct personal protective equipment is adhered to at all times.




• Monitor the performance of all equipment and machinery reporting any faults or breakdown

  immediately.




• Report any area of the hotel space, front and back of house that requires attention, this includes but

  is not limited to fixtures and fittings.




• To undertake appropriate training and development.
