Stanford Hotels Corporation is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the Corporate Controller in directing hotel financial activities and safeguarding assets. The role is in-office, reporting to the satellite office in Charlotte, NC.

You will lead the accounting team, ensure timely financial reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive department and hotel goals while maintaining GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Three years hotel accounting experience in Assistant Controller or Assistant Director of Finance roles.
• Ability to support and lead the accounting team.
• Experience with internal controls and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and monitoring internal control procedures to safeguard assets.
• Monitor assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses.
• Ensure timely preparation of weekly/monthly reports (e.g., Report of Operations).
• Manage full cycle Accounts Payable and vendor statement reconciliation (Birch Street, Great Plains).
• Assist in hiring, training, supervising and evaluating accounting staff.
• Oversee daily accounting procedures for the team.
• Prepare government and corporate tax reports and licenses.
• Assist in forecast, annual budget, and capital budget preparations.
• Support hotel departments with required accounting procedures and pending transactions.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining financial integrity.
