Job summary

Brandt Holdings Company is seeking a Hotel Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting across a portfolio of hotel properties. You will ensure timely financial reporting in line with USALI standards and act as a liaison with hotel operations to resolve discrepancies.

You will report to the VP of Accounting & Financial Reporting and handle daily data uploads, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks while supporting cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hotel/hospitality.
• Familiarity with PMS systems and USALI accounting standards is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily uploads of PMS data and ties to source reports.
• Completes bank reconciliations for assigned properties on a timely basis.
• Ties out daily hotel revenues and statistics to reports.
• Calculates, files, and researches sales tax.
• Prepares and posts month-end close entries and accruals.
• Creates and reconciles account schedules to support the close.
• Ensures general ledger accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
• Serves as a primary resource for hotel-level accounting questions.
• Communicates with hotel staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Assists with credit card processing issues, discrepancies, and reconciliations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Accounting & Financial Reporting.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
