Job summary

Markey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking PRN Hotel Technicians to join our Indianapolis Hotels department. The Hotel Technician role is client-facing, focusing on setting up and operating high-end AV equipment for live, virtual, and hybrid events, with occasional loading and unloading of gear.

Shifts vary by business needs and some evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of AV equipment, including operation, setup, troubleshooting, and explanation.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently, following supervisor/on-site leader directions.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional appearance/attitude at all times.
• High attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to embrace Markey’s culture and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients and the on-site Operations team to ensure successful event completion.
• Set‑up, tear‑down, and occasional loading/unloading of equipment.
• Operate audio, visual, and lighting equipment for live and virtual events.
• Provide excellent customer service to hotel staff and clients, promptly handling equipment changes/requests.
• Ensure equipment is functional, safe, and presented professionally, and that clients are comfortable with operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to satisfactory resolution.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned to ensure event success.
