Job summary

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Guest Service Representative to join Hotel 1928 and its team of hospitality enthusiasts. This part-time role focuses on greeting guests, handling front desk duties, and delivering a memorable arrival experience.

You will greet guests, assist with check-in, answer calls, process payments, and participate in upsell efforts while maintaining brand standards and smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED (required).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and personal recognition.
• Review arrival list and prepare/deliver welcome amenities.
• Escort VIPs to rooms and assist check-in.
• Answer phone within three rings and route inquiries as needed.
• Count bank at start/end of shift and manage cash handling.
• Ensure cash drops are performed per procedures and report discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk area.
• Assist with lobby activation when needed.
• Handle guest PII data with proper procedures.
• Communicate key points for a Graduate Arrival experience.
• Own and resolve guest requests and complaints professionally.
• Participate in Front Desk upsell program.
• Request identification and payment documents upon arrival.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets guests as they arrive, focusing on personal recognition in a warm and authentic manner
• Reviews arrival list daily and assists in preparing , assembling and delivering welcome amenities
• Escort VIPs to room and check them in prior to arrival
• Answer the telephone within three rings with a smile and answer questions accordingly or transfer as needed
• Responsible for issued bank - count bank at beginning and end of shift.
• Ensure that all cash drops are done in accordance with proper cash handling procedures and report all cash over/ shorts to management
• Maintains front desk area to be clean and organized
• Assisting with lobby activation as needed
• Utilize proper procedures when handling guest PPI data
• Understands the key points to communicate for a Graduate Arrival experience
• Follows through and feels ownership of guest requests
• Resolves guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner
• Actively participates in Front Desk upsell program
• Always retrieve necessary identification documents and form of payment upon guest arrival
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Prior Customer Service Experience
• High School Diploma/GED
