Job summary

Trading Space is seeking a CTO-like leader to build scalable systems, define the technical strategy, and align technology with business ambitions. You will lead a growing engineering team, shape product roadmaps with the CPO, and drive agile, reliable deployment practices.

You will establish architecture standards, reduce technical debt, and optimize processes from planning to deployment while collaborating closely with executives to deliver impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in senior technical leadership roles (CTO, Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, Engineering Director or Manager).
• Led organizations of 40+ engineers and scaled at least one team by 2× (from ~15 engineers).
• Experience at product companies aligning multiple products or business areas.

AtTrading Space, wesupport and grow two CS2 skins marketplaces and aB2B service that enables payments with in-game items. We’re looking for someone who can build scalable systems, lead all ofour engineers, and align technology with business ambitions.

• Define and own technical strategy, aligning itconstantly with business goals and controlling technical debt. Overview the implementation within team plans;
• Collaborate with CPO and stakeholders toprepare and implement product roadmaps;
• Improve our engineering culture: establish architecture principles, engineering standards and clear roles, cultivate ownership and autonomy among engineers;
• Refine main architectural decisions toensure they suit our context inthe best possible way;
• Improve delivery bychanging the processes from planning todeployment;
• Adopt new tools and manage resources pragmatically: tokeep our systems reliable and efficient;
• Provide infrastructure and access management soanalysts have timely data insecure, self-serve tooling.

• Demonstrates initiative: examples ofproactively identifying problems, suggesting ideas, and developing and implementing solutions that affect tens ofemployees across different functions;
• Worked directly with business representatives andC-levelexecutives;
• Acts like amodern manager who leads bycoaching, empowerment, and building strong teams;

Will be your boost:

• Familiarity with the Steam trade system, skins market, orgaming experience (CS2, Dota2, Rust);
• Hands-on skills in Vue, Laravel, or Github Actions;
• Experience setting upreliability practices (SLI/SLOs, incident management, and post-mortems) orobservability (metrics/logs/traces) from scratch;
• Domain experience inhigh-load e-commerce, Fintech, oriGaming projects.
