Job summary

Midwest Equipment Company is seeking a skilled Hot Side Service Technician to support commercial cooking equipment in the Greater St. Louis area. You will diagnose and repair ovens, fryers, steamers, microwaves, and grills at customer sites, while performing PM inspections and responding to service calls.

The role offers a Tuesday–Saturday daytime schedule with no on-call duties, a company-provided van, and a path for growth in a stable regional leader in equipment and service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience servicing commercial cooking equipment.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• HS diploma or equivalent; EPA Universal Card a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair ovens, fryers, steamers, microwaves, and flat-top grills at customer locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and respond to emergency service calls.
• Complete service paperwork and communicate with customers and the team to ensure timely, effective service.

We're currently seeking an experienced Hot Side Service Technician to join our growing team in the Greater St. Louis area . In this role, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial cooking equipment, including ovens, fryers, steamers, microwave systems, and flat-top grills at customer locations. You'll also perform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections, respond to emergency service calls, complete service paperwork, and communicate with customers and our team to ensure timely, effective service. This position offers a Tuesday–Saturday schedule with NO on-call duties . If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we'd love to meet you!

Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years previous experience servicing commercial cooking equipment
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills
• Experience servicing fryers, ovens, steamers, microwave systems, and flat-top grills strongly preferred
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and organizational skills
• Professional personal appearance
• Successful completion of a background check
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company safety standards
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical school training and/or EPA Universal Card is a plus!
• Ability to work alone and with others
