Job summary

Midwest Equipment Company in the Greater St. Louis area is seeking an experienced Hot Side Service Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking equipment at customer sites, including ovens, fryers, steamers, microwave systems, and flat-top grills.

This full-time role offers a Tuesday–Saturday day schedule with no on-call duties and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Competitive pay up to $26 per hour based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience servicing commercial cooking equipment
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills
• Experience servicing fryers, ovens, steamers, microwave systems, and flat-top grills preferred
• Professional appearance and customer-focused
• Willingness to undergo background check and possess valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking equipment at customer sites
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections
• Respond to emergency service calls and complete service documentation
• Communicate with customers and team to ensure timely service

We're currently seeking an experienced Hot Side Service Technician to join our growing team in the Greater St. Louis area . In this role, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial cooking equipment, including ovens, fryers, steamers, microwave systems, and flat-top grills at customer locations. You'll also perform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections, respond to emergency service calls, complete service paperwork, and communicate with customers and our team to ensure timely, effective service. This position offers a Tuesday–Saturday schedule with NO on-call duties . If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we'd love to meet you!

Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years previous experience servicing commercial cooking equipment
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills
• Experience servicing fryers, ovens, steamers, microwave systems, and flat-top grills strongly preferred
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and organizational skills
• Professional personal appearance
• Successful completion of a background check
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company safety standards
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical school training and/or EPA Universal Card is a plus!
• Ability to work alone and with others
