The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, prior experience with hot plants (preferred), and familiarity with Astec controls. Proficiency in safety and bilingual communication is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Ability to obtain an MSHA Part 46 Certificate (5000-23) as required for the job.
• Experience with hot mix asphalt operations and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hot plant to maintain production goals.
• Place raw aggregate and liquid asphalt through the mixing drum for storage and load-out to trucks.
• Perform general maintenance and service on the hot plant.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Operate equipment such as front end loader, skip loader, and skid steer as needed.
• Communicate current job information with contractors and drivers.
• Maintain plant files and records.
