POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Kitchen Staff works in a fast-paced environment helping to create and prepare cannabis-infused meals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce high-quality hot foods with consistent flavor, texture, visual appearance, and proper medication.
- Execute all prep items needed for the day in a productive and clean manner, following the prep list to categorize and prioritize tasks.
- Accurately compute equations for creating butter and oil portions, scaling, mixing, and dividing with precision.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Request labels for all savory goods from inventory, including samples, and work closely with inventory to accommodate dietary requests.
- Keep the Grill and Pizza Prep stations clean and sanitized, with properly labeled products.
- Conduct quality checks on food items at the start of each shift and periodically throughout.
- Prepare daily specials in advance.
- Maintain organization and FIFO rotation of the Hot Side inside the walk-in refrigerator.
- Work with a neat station, following sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Prepare and execute daily orders.
- Ensure all dishes are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored, collaborating with team members.
- Assist in packaging to-go items and handle daily cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning as scheduled.
- Update ingredient par counts and specials daily, noting shortages on the 86 whiteboard.
- Track all items created in the Mint Cafe Inventory Log.
- Communicate daily accomplishments and needs via the #tempecafe Slack channel.
- Assist at off-site events as required.
- Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional double shifts.
