Job summary

ELLWOOD Crankshaft Group (ECG) in Sharon, PA, is hiring a full-time Working Hot End Supervisor to oversee the forging and heat‑treat work centers. The role focuses on productivity, safety, quality, and on-time delivery while developing personnel and driving continuous improvement.

You will coordinate schedules, lead process improvements, and work with engineering to support new product launches and capacity expansion, reporting to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years managerial or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and associated controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize between development projects and daily responsibilities.
• Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to train others in best practices.
• Understanding of forging and thermal manufacturing processes.
• Ability to layout and stage parts as required.
• Desire for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS compliance and maintain a visit-ready status.
• Lead safety, quality, and on-time delivery initiatives.
• Develop and implement standardized work practices for forging and heat-treat.
• Lead staffing, training, and employee development.
• Develop forging/heat-treat schedules with operations management.
• Ensure due date performance and optimize setup/changeover times.
• Collaborate with maintenance for preventive maintenance plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and throughput improvements.
• Provide input for new equipment installation and capacity expansion.
