Job summary

Ellwood Crankshaft Group in Sharon, PA is seeking a Working Hot End Supervisor to oversee the forging press and heat treat work-centers. This exempt role focuses on productivity, safety, quality, and on-time production through strong leadership and hands-on guidance.

You will develop staff, manage schedules, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with engineers and maintenance to meet customer demands and capacity expansion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years managerial or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and associated controls.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Results oriented with a drive to succeed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to train others in best practices.
• Understanding of forging and thermal manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the press and heat treatment work centers and supervise operators.
• Lead safety, quality, and on-time performance initiatives.
• Develop staffing plans and lead recruitment with HR.
• Coordinate forging and heat-treat schedules with operations leadership.
• Support preventive maintenance and standardized work practices.
• Drive continuous improvement and reduce changeover times while controlling costs.
• Provide input for engineering reviews and new equipment installations.
