Moose's Tooth in Alaska seeks a friendly Host to greet guests, manage the waitlist, and ensure a smooth dining flow. You’ll guide guests, answer questions, and team up with staff to deliver a fantastic experience.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, with daytime weekday availability (9am–5pm), open weekends, and a flexible school schedule. On-site role with great benefits and a supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with required food worker credentials.
• On-the-job tools and training provided.
• Experience in a restaurant environment is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and act as the welcoming face of the restaurant.

JOB SUMMARY

Join the Moose's Tooth team as a Host and be the welcoming face of our beloved restaurant! As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll have the amazing opportunity to greet them with a smile, manage the waitlist, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable flow throughout the restaurant. You’ll guide our guests, answer their questions, and team up with our amazing staff to create a fantastic dining experience!

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals with:

Interest in long-term employment

Daytime availability on weekdays (9am - 5pm)

Open availability on weekends

Requirements

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required. On-the-job tools and training provided.

Skills, Abilities & Work Conditions

1. Stand and walk for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
2. Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
3. Lift and carry 30+ lbs
4. Communicate professionally and effectively under pressure and in high-stress environments
5. Organization and prioritization skills
6. Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
7. Bend, move quickly around the restaurant, and stop and wipe frequently
8. Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
