The Library at Park MGM in Las Vegas, operated by MGM Resorts International, seeks an attentive Hostperson to greet guests and coordinate seating in a refined, book-lined setting.

You will work with servers and runners to maintain smooth seating flow, while keeping menus and front-of-house areas in pristine condition. Knowledge of OpenTable is preferred; 21+ and prior upscale hosting experience are valued.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of host experience in fine dining or upscale environments.

• Experience with OpenTable system preferred.

Responsabilidades

**THE JOB:** As a **Hostperson** for **The Library** at **Park MGM**, you will set a spectacular first impression by welcoming guests in a warm, courteous, and timely manner to our intimate, book-lined retreat. Serving as the vital first point of contact, you will keep our beautiful front-of-house clean and organized while working hand-in-hand with our servers, bussers, and runners to coordinate seating, manage table flow, and deliver seamless, refined hospitality in alignment with Park MGM's non-smoking standards.**THE STARTING RATE:** $21.4113 USD Hourly **THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests – responsible for conveying all such information to management* Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in‐house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant* Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant* Answer phones, keep accurate count of reservations and handle reservation book* Ensure menus have proper inserts and are current according to the most recent change, and replace all menus in poor condition* Communicate the needs of the guests to the kitchen and management, inform management of guest reactions and comments, and assist management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service* Frequently check back with guests who are waiting to be seated; make it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas; shut down podium and forward phones to voice‐loop at end of shift**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required* Must be 21 years of age or older* 2+ years of prior relevant experience as a Hostperson in a Fine Dining restaurant or similar Upscale environment preferred* Previous experience with Open Table system preferred**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally* Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more* Free meals in our employee dining room* Free parking on and off shift* Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)* Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community
