MGM Grand is recruiting a Hostperson for the Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse, part of MGM Resorts International, in Las Vegas. You welcome guests, manage seating, and coordinate with the service team to deliver exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes impeccable presentation, guest communication, and teamwork with servers and runners to ensure memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age or older.
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience as a Hostperson in a fine dining or luxury dining environment preferred.
• Experience with OpenTable or SevenRooms system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant.
• Coordinate with Reservations for special orders and cake orders, conveying details to management.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities, house counts, table numbers, setups, room capacity, hours, price ranges, and dress code.
• Answer phones and manage reservation book.
• Ensure menus are current and replace those in poor condition.
• Communicate guest needs to kitchen/management and assist as needed for smooth operations.
• Check back with guests waiting for seating to ensure they feel attended to.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.

THE JOB:

As a Hostperson at Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse inside MGM Grand, you will be the first impression of a one-of-a-kind dining destination inspired by the legendary Four Sixes Ranch and the vision of Taylor Sheridan. Bringing authentic Western hospitality to life, you will warmly welcome guests, manage seating with professionalism and efficiency, and help create memorable experiences from the moment guests arrive. In this role, you will ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and impeccably presented at all times while serving as a key communication link between guests and the service team. Working closely with Food Servers, Bus & Runners, and other team members, you will assist with guest requests, table management, and dining room flow to help deliver exceptional service. THE STARTING RATE:

$23.4553 Hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests – responsible for conveying all such information to management
• Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in‐house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant
• Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant
• Answer phones, keep accurate count of reservations and handle reservation book
• Ensure menus have proper inserts and are current according to the most recent change, and replace all menus in poor condition
• Communicate the needs of the guests to the kitchen and management, inform management of guest reactions and comments, and assist management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service
• Frequently check back with guests who are waiting to be seated; make it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas; shut down podium and forward phones to voice‑loop at end of shift

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18+ years of age or older
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
• 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Hostperson in a Fine Dining restaurant or similar luxury dining environment preferred
• Experience with Open Table or SevenRooms system preferred
