Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Frisco, TX is seeking a friendly Host to greet and seat guests in our dining room. You will welcome guests, guide them to tables, and manage reservations.

The role requires excellent communication, the ability to multi-task, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You will collaborate with servers to ensure a smooth dining experience and deliver a memorable guest welcome.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior host experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift/move objects up to 10 lbs without assistance.
• Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Food Handlers and TABC certifications or obtain on hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering the restaurant with a friendly, courteous welcome.
• Seat guests at a clean, available table and present menus.
• Answer phones and record reservations for large parties.
• Manage high-volume seating outside of the restaurant when needed.
• Monitor dining room for seating, safety, and guest wellbeing.
• Assist servers as needed.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.

This position will ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner.

• Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
• Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menu in front of guest.
• Answer phone and record reservations for large parties.
• Control high volume outside of restaurant.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and wellbeing of guests.
• Assist servers when needed.
• Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC, or obtain upon hire.
