Responsibilities

  • Create a memorable first and last impression.
  • Greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner. Seat guests in dining and bar areas, ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff.
  • Coordinate the wait and seat guests with a sense of urgency.
  • Always smile and have genuine conversations with guests.
  • Have a general knowledge of the food and drink menu; recommend and upsell products.
  • Answer the phone promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed.
  • Assist throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and beverages, helping guests, and ensuring opportunities to impress are maximized. Teamwork is essential.
  • Lead the lobby experience, following Outback hospitality standards.
  • Commit to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during your shift.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs; work in hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods while performing duties.
  • For California positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certification required (can be completed during training or within 60 days of start).
