Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage reservations, and seat diners in a courteous, efficient manner. The role requires knowledge of the restaurant layout and menu items, plus the ability to communicate guest feedback to management promptly.

The ideal candidate will maintain a friendly demeanor, assist in various shifts, and operate with strong teamwork in a busy dining room. High school diploma preferred; experience in hospitality is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of food or hospitality service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and menus.
• Basic computer skills; able to use reservation management system and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take reservations, and seat guests in a positive, friendly manner.
• Maintain knowledge of restaurant layout and seating according to diagram.
• Communicate guest compliments or complaints to management promptly.
• Demonstrate a positive demeanor and strong communication with guests and staff.
• Assist in the restaurant as needed and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
