Job summary

Fairmont Austin is seeking a guest-focused server for our luxury property in Austin. You will welcome guests, explain menu items, and support the outlet team to ensure a flawless dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally and provide engaging service.
• Understand the server tasks in the outlet and assist where needed.
• Review shift end reports and operate the POS system.
• Recommend menu items and answer questions about ingredients.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items, garnishes and preparation methods.
• Adhere to outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Reporting to the Venue Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer a professional, friendly greeting and engaging service
• Understand the Server’s tasks in the outlet
• Understand shift end reports in the outlet and the POS system
• Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned
