Job summary

Burger Burger is seeking a friendly host/hostess to welcome guests, manage arrivals and reservations, and maintain a warm, organized dining area.

You will greet guests, seat them, manage takeout orders, and ensure menus are clean. This role involves using OpenTable to track reservations and coordinate with the floor and management to keep waits reasonable.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills for interaction with management, servers, team members and guests.
• Basic reading skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review open table reservations and map out the shift plan.

• Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Personality!! Polished, fun, personalized, modern, warm, and sincere service!
• Responsible for checking in all employees and highlighting on the Open Table system.
• Answer the phone, take reservations, and take takeout orders.
• Ensures menus are clean and organized.
• Greet, check in and seat guests.
• Print any special chits off open table with special instructions hand off to server upon their checking in.
• Review all of the open table reservations and map out the plan for the shift.
• Utilize open table to make sure to capture important information about guests.
• Work with manager on the floor to ensure the proper wait time.
• Ensure restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked and organized.
• Interacts with guests to ensure positive dining experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week; and hours start as early as 9 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required.
