Job summary

Farmers Restaurant Group is seeking a Host/Coordinator to manage reservations and guest flow with a friendly, guest-focused approach. You will handle OpenTable bookings, answer phones, greet and seat guests, and support the service team to ensure a smooth dining experience.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to stand for long periods, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in a full-service restaurant is helpful, but not required.
• Must be 18+ due to service of alcohol.
• Ability to create a hospitable environment for guests and staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dedicated to learning menu and operations.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds; able to bend and reach.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant reservations and wait lists to set guest expectations.
• Operate the reservation system and OpenTable for accurate bookings.
• Answer calls and provide friendly service for guests and inquiries.
• Greet and seat guests, delivering exceptional hospitality.
• Assist guests with reservations and respond to requests promptly.
• Support service staff by clearing tables and transporting items.
• Set up dining areas for large parties and brunch buffets.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and maintain cleanliness of areas.

Hourly pay: $12.77/hr

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant reservations and wait lists to accurately set guest expectations
• Manage and monitor the restaurant’s reservation system using Open Table
• Answer the restaurant phone and provide friendly service for all guest and call center inquiries
• Greet and seat guests at their table providing exceptional hospitality
• Assist guests in making reservations
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a timely and friendly manner
• Assist with parking validation
• Provide directions and recommendations if guests inquire
• Support the service staff by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters and taking them to the dishwasher
• Set up dining areas to prepare for large parties and brunch buffet
• Perform duties, such as sweeping, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, and checking the bathroom(s)
• Are punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
• Contribute to a positive team environment
• Other important tasks, as assigned, that keep all our guest operations humming
