Overview

The Casino Host is considered the sales representative for the Casino. The mission, responsibilities, and accountability of the Casino Host pertain to professionalism, positive/friendly interaction, and compatibility with external/internal guests at all times. Competency in verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including writing and phone skills, is mandatory in this highly visible position.

Responsibilities

1. Perform office or non-manual work directly related to the general business operation of the Player Development Department.
2. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance related to the operations of the Player Development Department.
3. Solicit and identify new high-worth guests on the casino floor for Dreamcatcher’s Club.
4. Create and maintain player accounts.
5. Issue point vouchers and extend comps according to gaming activity and guidelines.
6. Meet guest transaction quotas, including cold calls, note writing, emails, and other challenges.
7. Acknowledge, greet, and converse with guests on the casino floor.
8. Assist guests over the phone and in person.
9. Issue and reprint player cards.
10. Promote Dreamcatcher’s card usage and the benefits of the Player’s Club.
11. Communicate marketing activities, promotions, and amenities to employees and guests accurately.
12. Assist in resolving guest issues.
13. Proactively communicate with players to schedule future trips to JRCH.
14. Conduct outbound phone solicitations to current and new players.
15. Help greet buses and record data for the Busing program.
16. Participate in offsite events or functions as required.
17. Assist in recruiting new patrons and retaining existing ones.
18. Serve as a highly visible customer service representative on the casino floor.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• 1 year experience in a high-intensity customer service position.
• Associate’s degree.

Pay range: $50,800 to $66,000 per year.

Shift Differential: Non-exempt employees receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.

This is not a smoke-free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is present in the work environment.
