Lore Group is seeking a Full-Time Hostess in Washington, DC to deliver a warm, welcoming first impression and coordinate reservations to ensure smooth dining room flow. The role partners with servers, bartenders, and managers to uphold exceptional hospitality.

The ideal candidate will be personable, organized, and able to stay calm under pressure, with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation starts at $19.00–$20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or guest service experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm, poised, and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a warm, friendly, and genuine manner upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments to support smooth service flow.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide a welcoming introduction to the dining experience.
• Maintain awareness of dining room flow, table status, and guest needs throughout service.
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, managers, and kitchen teams to support seamless guest satisfaction.
• Answer guest questions regarding menus, hours, and hotel offerings as needed.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entry, and dining room areas.
• Support opening and closing side work duties as assigned.
• Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and care, escalating when appropriate.
• Uphold company policies, service standards, and the overall guest experience.

Hostess - Essential Functions

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or guest service experience preferred, but not required
• Hotel experience is not required - a fun, welcoming personality is a must
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm, poised, and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented and guest-first mindset
• Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

$19.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
