Job summary

Lore Group is seeking an Overnight Security Officer in Washington, DC to patrol hotel property, monitor activity and respond to guest and staff needs during overnight hours.

The role requires calm, professional judgment, strong communication, and the ability to work independently, including weekends and holidays. Comprehensive benefits are provided by Lore Group.

Qualifications

• Previous security, hotel, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Flexible schedule including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property and public areas to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor hotel entrances, exits, and activity during overnight shift.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest and employee concerns, emergencies, and incidents.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with overnight operational support and guest service requests as needed.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to support overnight operations.
• Maintain a visible, professional presence throughout the property.

Overnight Security Officer - Essential Functions

• Patrol hotel property and public areas to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Monitor hotel entrances, exits, and activity throughout the overnight shift
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest and employee concerns, emergencies, and incidents

• Ensure compliance with hotel safety procedures and emergency protocols
• Work collaboratively with hotel departments to support smooth overnight operations
• Maintain a visible, professional, and approachable presence throughout the property

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Previous security, hotel, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in high-pressure situations
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Flexible schedule required, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus

Compensation

$24.00 -$26.00 per hour
