Job summary

Hemenway’s in Providence, part of Newport Restaurant Group, is seeking a friendly Host to coordinate seating and deliver fast, courteous service in a bustling dining room.

You will greet guests, escort them to tables, manage reservations, and relay guest needs to the service staff and management. A flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Restaurant and OpenTable experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Able to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting.

Hemenway’s is looking for a Host to join the team.

Providence’s original downtown, riverside restaurant with a national reputation for serving only the freshest seafood while delivering genuine hospitality. About the Position: In the Host role, you will coordinate seating of guests to provide fast and courteous service.

About You: You are friendly, outgoing, and driven to succeed. You have a strong passion for hospitality and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment.

• Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus
• Communicates guests’ needs to service staff and management.

Qualifications:

• Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
• Restaurant and OpenTable experience are preferred however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Compensation and Benefits:
