Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly on arrival.
• Open the front door for guests when possible.
• Record guest names and party size when seating is limited.
• Call out name and party number as tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting times.
• Accommodate special seating requests.
• Seat guests balancing guest flow and preferences.
• Assist with bussing tables and keeping floors clean.
• Keep hostess stand and closet clean and stocked.
• Clean all windows in the foyer.
• Stock and maintain bathrooms with hourly checks.
• Present menus and inform guests of their server's name at seating.
• Relay messages to servers as needed.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Answer the phone with a smile and proper greeting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and the number of people in their party
• Call out name and number of party when tables become available
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
• Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations
• Help bus tables and help keep floors clean
• Keep hostess stand and closet clean and stocked
• Clean all windows in the foyer
• Stock bathrooms and make sure they stay clean with hourly bathroom checks
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
• Relay messages to servers as needed
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
• Answer the phone with a smile and the correct greeting

Qualifications:

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests
