Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking a part-time Host to greet and seat members and guests, manage reservations, and coordinate with staff to deliver a welcoming, efficient dining experience.

As part of Troon, a global leader in golf and hospitality, you will handle seating charts, answer questions, and ensure smooth service while maintaining a neat host stand and friendly demeanor. Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays require availability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcomes members and guests upon arrival.
• Provides information about the club, such as specials.
• Manages the seating chart to optimize table turnover and balance server workload.
• Escorts guests to their tables and presents menus.
• Takes and confirms reservations by phone or through an online reservation system.
• Maintains an organized reservation book and updates it as needed.
• Communicates effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Handles member and guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally.
• Keeps the waiting area clean and organized.
• Monitors and manages member and guest wait times.
• Relays special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
• Works with servers to accommodate large parties and special events.
• Ensures menus are clean and in good condition.
• Keeps the host stand well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Castlewood Country Club, located in Pleasanton, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Host! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$16.90 - $17.00 per hour

Summary:
The host or hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests at the club, responsible for creating a positive and welcoming experience. This role involves greeting and seating members and guests, managing reservations, and coordinating with other staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations.

Schedule:

Must be available to work Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
