Job summary

WindRiver Living is seeking a Host to welcome guests and manage seating at its dining venues. You will greet guests, handle the waitlist, and escort guests to tables as part of a welcoming dining experience.

You will also answer calls, manage reservations, coordinate seating requests, and support front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

WindRiver offers a wide variety of dining options including Citico's restaurant, the WindRiver Club Snack Bar, and an array of events both on and off location. Our new Clubhouse is set to open in October, bringing multiple dining options. As the Host, you will work closely with the Serving staff to provide quality dining experience. Your main responsibility is greeting and seating guests, managing phone calls and reservations, and assisting with maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities

Guest Reception and Seating

• Greeting guests warmly and promptly upon arrival.
• Manage the waitlist and estimated wait times.
• Escort guests to their assigned tables and ensure they are comfortably seated.

• Reservation Management
• Answer incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner.
• Schedule and manage reservations using the booking system.
• Coordinate special seating requests and accommodate guest needs when possible.

• Phone and Guest Inquiries
• Provide accurate information regarding menu offerings, hours of operation, and general restaurant details.
• Direct calls to appropriate team members as needed.

• Coordination with Front-of-House Staff
• Communicate table status to bussers and servers.
• Monitor table turnover and assist in seating flow for optimal efficiency.

• Team Collaboration
• Support servers and hosts by monitoring dining room flow and guest needs.
• Assist with clearing tables as needed.
• Assist with delivering food to tables as needed.
• Assist with side work and end-of-shift cleaning duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma (preferred).
• 1 year customer service experience (required).
• Must be at least 18 years old (required).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must be willing to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts.
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Excellent track record of communication skills and working as a team player.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to improvise and make decisions based on business or guest needs.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, climb stairs, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time.
