The View in New York City is seeking a friendly Host to be the first impression for guests and a vital partner to the Maître D. This on-site role requires warmth, hospitality, and the ability to coordinate seating and guest inquiries with tact and efficiency.

Experience in guest service is helpful, with Resy familiarity and strong communication. Join us in a dynamic, two-floor setting offering live music, panoramic views, and a culture that values care and growth.

• Experience in a guest facing role in a restaurant preferred, but not necessary.
• Basic understanding of Resy functions.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
• Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests whether in person or over the phone
• Partner with Maître D to quote accurate wait times while finding the yes for all guests
• Answer guest inquiries with regards to restaurant hours, menus, and reservations
• Act as a liaison between guest, management, service staff and kitchen
• Work with efficiency and a sense of urgency while remaining composed
• Demonstrates a passion for guest experience and eagerness to learn and grow

The View, New York City’s only revolving restaurant, bar, and lounge has been led by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group since 2025, following a complete renovation by the Rockwell Group. The space evokes the vibrant nightlife of historic New York, drawing inspiration from classic American supper clubs.

Located in the heart of the theater district, The View spans two floors, offering both a lively bar and a full-service dining room in constant motion. The experience blends live music, classic American cuisine, and panoramic skyline views with the theatrical energy of the surrounding neighborhood.

Who you are:

The Host is a vital member of the Service team as the first impression and point of contact with every guest and visitor at the restaurant. The Host most exude warmth and hospitality and is a partner to the Maître D’ in plotting, planning, and updating the dining room to efficiently coordinate seatings throughout each service.

What you’ll do:
