Job summary

The View, part of Union Square Hospitality Group in New York, seeks a Beverage Apprentice to join the team at our revolving restaurant and bar. You will support beverage logistics, inventory, and storage management while contributing to a dynamic service environment.

You will work closely with the Beverage Director and Head Bartenders to ensure accurate pars, timely deliveries, and polished beverage operations, with growth opportunities in a vibrant hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented, organized, proactive, and efficient.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• English fluency; additional languages preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
• Track incoming deliveries, assist receivers in checking in and getting product to its storage area.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
• Scan and map invoices, map sales, print bin lists and develop general proficiency in inventory software.
• Bin Wines in a timely manner, and maintain all organizational systems for storing, listing and 86'ing wines.
• Assist with distribution of Spirits inbounds to storage areas.
• Communicate daily about long term and short terms organizational projects.
• Assist in maintaining POS accuracy.
• Communicate and help manage liquor and BTG pars with Beverage Director and Head Bartenders.
• Follow EOD Bev emails and communication regarding necessary adjustments, orders etc.
• Work with leadership to monitor liquor, beer & non-alcoholic pars.
• Edit and update beverage menus in conjunction with management teams.
• Track credits and email vendors about corked wine at EOP.
• Lead monthly inventory counts and rectification, while taking a leadership role in that process.
• Move restaurant and event wine around the space as needed, and return unused wine to storage after events.

The View, New York City’s only revolving restaurant, bar, and lounge has been led by Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group since 2025, following a complete renovation by the Rockwell Group. The space evokes the vibrant nightlife of historic New York, drawing inspiration from classic American supper clubs.

Who you are:

The Beverage Apprentice works hand in hand with the Beverage Team on all aspects of logistics, inventory management upkeep of the beverage storage areas. The ability to be extremely detail oriented, organized, flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient is in your DNA. Superior written and verbal communication skills, sense of urgency, empathy and attention to detail is crucial. The Beverage Apprentice will be essential to the successful operations of our bar and wine teams, maintaining and enhancing organizational systems over time.

What you’ll do:

What we need from you:

• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required

Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel
