Position Summary

The Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests, ensuring they are seated promptly, and providing attentive service. Responsibilities include managing the waitlist, distributing menus, confirming contact information, handling reservations, and working with the team to seat guests efficiently.

Responsibilities

1. Greet and seat guests, present menus, and inform them of specials.
2. Ensure guest satisfaction and strive to exceed expectations.
3. Manage the waitlist and seat guests in a timely manner.
4. Maintain the floor plan and monitor table status.
5. Provide accurate wait times to guests.
6. Organize and stock the host area.
7. Answer phone inquiries about the menu and restaurant.
8. Interact positively with guests during their visit.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume, upscale restaurants preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Drive to provide exceptional service.
• Flexible full-time hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Proficiency or willingness to learn POS systems, Resy, OpenTable, Word, and Excel.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
