Sushi Samba is a restaurant that offers a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cuisine, complemented by conceptual music and acclaimed design.

The Host is responsible for promptly recognizing and seating all guests, and assisting servers in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout the dining experience.

Job Duties

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays
• Communicating clearly and effectively with guests and co-workers
• Answering phones promptly with appropriate scripting
• Welcoming guests and bidding farewell upon departure
• Providing menus to guests and maintaining their cleanliness and accuracy
• Greeting guests and seating them at tables or in waiting areas
• Assigning guests to suitable tables
• Inspecting dining and serving areas for cleanliness and proper setup
• Ensuring guest satisfaction and addressing complaints if any
• Managing reservations via Open Table
• Promoting SUSHISAMBA events and promotions at the host stand
• Maintaining communication with kitchen staff, management, and servers to ensure smooth service
• Directing guests to coatrooms, restrooms, waiting areas, or tables
• Staying informed about SUSHISAMBA's concept and cuisine
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Some college preferred
• Prior industry experience is a plus
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest relations; strong communication skills in English
• Professional appearance as the first impression of the restaurant
• Ability to multi-task and follow directions
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and outgoing attitude
• Punctuality, courtesy, and reliability
• Flexible scheduling preferred
• Interest in food and beverage is a plus
