Job summary

Rosa Mexicano National Harbor is seeking an upbeat Host to greet guests, manage seating, and deliver warm Latin hospitality in a fast-paced dining environment. You’ll welcome guests as if they were entering a home, and coordinate with the team to ensure smooth seating, service, and inquiries by phone or in person.

Ideal candidates have guest service experience and the ability to stay calm while multi-tasking. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and tips add supplemental pay.

What You'll Do

• We believe in Warm Latin Hospitality, especially during first and last impressions
• Welcome every guest like they’re walking into your home
• Ensure every guest feels genuinely cared for in-person, over the phone, or a 3rd party vendor
• Follow our Service Steps as outlined
• Maintain all Health and Sanitation Standards
• Keep a "never walk past a napkin on the floor" mentality
• Manage the flow of the restaurant by balancing reservations, walk-ins, and table turns with confidence and grace
• Anticipate guest needs — from special occasions to accessibility or seating preferences — and make them feel truly cared for
• Answer phones and handle inquiries with professionalism, enthusiasm, and attention to detail
• Assist with takeout/delivery/catering orders, ensuring accuracy and hospitality even beyond our doors
• Communicate constantly and quietly with Management and service staff to ensure seamless service for all guests
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately and responsibly
• Participate in pre-shifts, training s, and team meetings — because we grow together
• Work together with your teammates to keep the energy high and the service seamless — at Rosa Mexicano, teamwork is always on the menu

Skills and Qualifications

• Guest Service Experience - 1 Year preferred
• Ability to multi-task while staying calm, cool, and collected
