Job summary

Rock’N Fish Manhattan Beach invites a friendly, customer-focused host/hostess to greet guests and guide them to seats with warmth and professionalism.

You will manage wait lists, answer phones, and coordinate reservations using OpenTable, ensuring smooth seating for parties of all sizes while delivering an exceptional first impression.

Open availability, including weekends, and a positive, energetic attitude are required to succeed in our fast-paced casual dining environment.

Join the Rock’N Fish Manhattan Beach Team as a Part Time Host/Hostess! OpenAvailability/Weekends Required

Rock’N Fish, Manhattan Beach is the flagship property of the Zislis Group’s impressive line of inspired restaurants. We provide a fun, casual ambiance where we offer America’s best regional cuisine, refreshing hand-crafted cocktails, and impressive global wines with a California focus, right in the heart of downtown Manhattan Beach.

Rock’N Fish is currently seeking a host/hostess. As the first person that our guests meet, we are looking for someone who isn't shy and can make a great first and lasting impression to ensure that their dining experience is a positive one!

COMPENSATION

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

• Be the warm and welcoming face of the restaurant!
• Practice genuine hospitality with each and every guest
• Monitor the floor and be aware of what tables are available
• Estimate wait times for guests and ensure that their needs are met while they wait
• Answer the telephone, book reservations, and arrange tables to accommodate large parties
• Use Open Table software for reservations.
• Thorough knowledge of our food and beverage and ability to explain them to guests
• Contribute to team effort. Being a team player above all is mandatory!

THIS JOB IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE...

• Positive attitude and excellent communication and people skills
• Professional demeanor and a warm, inviting personality
• Sense of humor and enthusiasm for the job are imperative
• Excellent phone etiquette (a must) and prior multi-line phone experience is a plus
• The ability to shift gears quickly and multitask at the highest level

• Able to greet and seat customers accurately and efficiently.

• Guest oriented with high focus on delivering quality service.
• Strong communication skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to attend to customers’ needs and possess a strong desire to fulfill the requests of the customers at all times.

• Handling pressure well along with the ability to set priorities and make decisions based on quality.
• Must be well dressed and well spoken.
