Job description

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is organized, responsible, punctual, self-motivated, has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should be able to relate to people of all backgrounds and abilities and have a demonstrable interest, knowledge, and passion for customer service and hospitality.

PREREQUISITES:

- At least 2 years of experience as a host in a fine-dining setting.

- Have the ability to work under pressure.

- Have the ability to multi-task and handle high volume.

- Well-organized and detail-oriented.

- Be an active team player.

- Be able to deliver an excellent customer service experience at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly; escort them to assigned dining area.

- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.

- Take and check reservations – online and over the phone.

- Maintain paper menu supplies.

- Monitor voicemail, take-away, and reservation systems.

- Assign and update reservations system.

- Maintain host stands stocked with supplies.

- Assist with bagging and tracking takeaway orders.

- Alert staff of VIP guests.

- Clean and sanitize host stands and host stand supplies.

- Monitor to-go and generic Manuela emails.

- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

COMPENSATION:

- Hourly rate of $17.50 per hour, plus tips.
