Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly and by name when possible.
• Assist with seating and open doors to welcome guests.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy.
• Prepare personalized reservation cards and preset menus.
• Keep menus fresh, clean, and well-presented.
• Oversee carryout orders by phone and assist with mobile ordering.
• Support service team with bussing, resetting tables, and maintaining a polished dining area.
• Thank guests as they depart and solicit feedback on their experience.
• Step in to assist other areas of the Club as needed by management.
• Perform additional service tasks as assigned by management.

Job Details: Job Location: Hallbrook Country Club - Leawood, KS, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $16.00 - $16.00Hourly, Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service, SUMMARY: The Host/Greeter serves as the welcoming face of our Club, ensuring that every member and guest feels valued from the moment they arrive until the moment they depart. This role is all about creating a warm, polished, and memorable dining experience—leaving members with the sense that they are part of a special community. The Host/Greeter is friendly, attentive, and service-driven, setting the tone for hospitality throughout the entire visit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a warm, genuine welcome to members and their guests upon arrival, greeting them by name whenever possible.
• Open doors, assist with seating, and ensure members feel at ease the moment they step inside.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with care and accuracy, keeping members informed about their dining experience.
• Prepare personalized reservation cards and preset menus to reflect attention to detail.
• Ensure menus are always fresh, clean, and well-presented.
• Oversee carryout service by taking phone orders, assisting with mobile ordering, confirming accuracy, and offering additional service touches before members depart.
• Support the service team by assisting with bussing, resetting tables, and maintaining a polished dining room environment.
• Engage with members as they leave, thanking them sincerely and inquiring about their experience to show genuine care.
• Step in to assist in other areas of the Club when needed, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility.
• Perform additional service tasks as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Ability to be on feet for most or all of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, stooping, and twisting.
• Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, depending on the season.
