Job Overview

As a Host, you are the first point of contact for guests, playing a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service. Your warm demeanor sets the tone for the dining experience, and your organizational skills help ensure efficient seating and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Guest Greeting and Seating:
    • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
    • Manage waitlists and reservations, estimating wait times and making guests comfortable.
    • Escort guests to tables, present menus, and assist as needed.
    • Seat guests according to seating charts and server rotation to optimize turnover.
  2. Reservation Management:
    • Take and confirm reservations via phone or reservation system.
    • Maintain accurate reservation records.
    • Communicate special requests to staff.
  3. Guest Assistance:
    • Provide information about the menu, specials, and promotions.
    • Assist with coat check if applicable.
    • Handle inquiries and requests professionally.
  4. Communication and Coordination:
    • Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth seating and service.
    • Relay important guest information to team members.
  5. Waitlist Management:
    • Track waiting guests and notify when tables are ready.
    • Communicate wait times to guests.
  6. Cleanliness and Organization:
    • Keep the host stand and waiting area clean and stocked.
    • Ensure menus and promotional materials are in good condition.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not required; training provided.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry items up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with weekend availability preferred.
